Hi, and welcome to my blog.

My name is Sean Warren. I live and work in the UK, although the amount of time I seem to spend in airports and the large amount of un-used Euro and other currency coins I have on my desk at the moment suggests I spend a lot of time out of the country.

What do I do?

I am Managing Director of a company called Pure Insight. We are a company working in the innovation space and we work with global organisations (large and small) to train them to build innovation capability in their people. Our main focus is on Front-End Innovation, helping companies identify opportunity spaces in their business and discovering un-met customer needs that can be turned into business opportunities, but we also spend time on innovation culture and developing innovation teams into high performing teams.

Prior to joining Pure Insight in 2006 (is it really that long?) I had spent nearly 20 years in product development in some of the biggest companies in the world, such as Marks and Spencer, Unilever, Mars and Boots Healthcare International, and I bring a lot of the learning from my times there into the programmes I teach now.

When I am not working (not sure when that is though) I am a supporter of Manchester United (obviously, as  I live in North Yorkshire and spend a lot of time outside the UK!), I love motorcycling (but don't have a bike at the moment) and I am developing a worrying interest in musical theatre, which is being driven by my youngest daughter!

In this blog I will talk about some of the workshops I run, and some of the things I find interesting in the innovation space, whether that comes from conferences I attend or things I read on the web. These are my personal opinions and for obvious reasons I am not able to discuss too much detail on the workshops outcomes I am delivering to our customers.
